HOW TO ATTRACT A SUPPORTIVE PARTNER

I posted an excerpt from “Real Men Don’t Go Woke” on social media. John weighed in:

“Been there, done that more than once. It ain’t cheap. From Baby Trapping to Guilt Tripping, the skillsets of manipulation by the fairer sex are honed from an early age and reinforced by many generations of Western society. When men fall in love, women execute the business plan. If I had a 16-year-old son, I’d pay for his vasectomy.”

John’s last statement about giving his hypothetical 16-year-old son a vasectomy is anger that must be addressed. I’ve seen anger turn to depression (anger turned inward) and then to suicide. Men’s suicide rates are skyrocketing. We must offer men safe spaces to express their outrage over being misled.

We must also train boys from an early age to recognize toxic behaviors used against them so they can avoid them as they grow into manhood. John’s statement that he’s “been there and done that more than once” suggests men need techniques to avoid repeating the same dysfunctional attractions.

Guys, please don’t think that someone is “not my type.” Instead, wander out of the self-imposed gates you’ve set up and venture towards other “types.” When you do this, accept that you’re not making a lifelong commitment; you’re just putting a toe in the water to check your reaction to a “type” you haven’t experienced before.

One man told me that after he did this experiment (kicking and screaming) and he acknowledged that the new woman was not for him after all, his very next date turned out to be the woman he married! By this time, he felt prepared and confident that he would no longer box himself into a damaging and dysfunctional relationship because of his preconceived notions.
